Wavy baby blanket for my baby boy

It’s been a while since my last post. In fact it’s been one and a half year. A lot has happened and I’ve been very busy and haven’t really had the time or energy for hobbies or bolgging. Well, I think it’s time to start up again. With both 🙂

One of my most popular post is my wavy baby blanket. I made this blanket for my baby girl when she was a newborn. This spring she got a little baby brother and I just had to make him the same blanket, being it’s my own design and all. I’m going to save the blanks for them and give them back when they are all grown up. Maybe they’ll use the blankets for their babies?
So I wanted to share with you my boyish version of my wavy baby blanket. 🙂

Oppskrift på heklet Bølgeteppe

Jeg har fått spørsmål om oppskrift på bølgeteppet mitt ved noen anledninger og tenkte da å prøve å lage oppskrift/veiledning til dere her.

Denne oppskriften gir et teppe på ca 60 cm * 80 cm (avhengi av garn, heklenål og heklefasthet) Jeg har brukt Lanett babyull og heklenål nr 4. Jeg hekler nok litt fast.

Velg dine favoritt farger i oddetall 3, 5 osv. Velger du antall farger i partall vil det bli ett tydelig mønster i fargene, med oddetall vil møsteret bli mer tilfeldig. Bytt til ny farge på slutten av hver omgang.

Start med 155 luftmasker + 1 snumaske, totalt 156 masker. Her kan det fint legges opp fler hvis man ønsker et bredere teppe, men antall masker må gå opp i 14 gangen + 2 for at mønsteret skal gå opp. 

Rad 1:
start i maske nr 2 fra nålen og hekle 1 fastmaske i alle luftmaskene (155 masker)

Rad 2:
2 luftmasker, så 4 staver i første maske. (luftmaskene teller ikke som en stav)
* hopp over 3 masker, så hekles 1 fastmaske i de neste 7 maskene**, hopp over 3 masker igjen og så hekles 7 staver i neste maske *

Gjenta *.* helt til slutten av arbeidet hvor du avslutter etter ** og hvor det gjenstår 4 masker, her hoppers det over 3 masker og hekles 4 staver i siste maske.

Rad 3:
1 luftmaske så 1 fastmaske i alle maskene

Rad 4:
1 luftmaske så hekle 1 fastmaske i de 4 neste maskene
* hopp over 3 masker og hekle 7 staver i neste maske, hopp over 3 masker** og hekle 1 fastmaske i neste 7 maskenene *

gjenta *.* helt til slutten av arbeidet hvor du avslutter etter ** og det gjenstår 7 masker, her oppes det over 3 masker og hekles 1 fastmaske i de siste 4 maskene.

Gjenta rad 1-4 til ønsket lengde, men avslutt på etter rad 1 eller 3 for å jevne ut på høyden.

Kanten;
Hekle kjedemasker rundt hele teppet i ønsket farge.
Snu. Hekle en runde med fastmasker i samme farge.
Snu. Hekle en runde med fastmasker i annen farge.

*** ENGLISH Version for wavy baby blanket ***
This pattern is for a baby blanket aprox. size 60*80 cm (23.6 x 31.5 in) depending on the yarn, hook size and gauge. I have used a 4 mm hook (US G) with yarn from Sandnes Garn «lanett». This yarn is Light Fingering / 3 ply yarn. I probably crochet a little firmly.

Choose your favorite colors by an uneven number, 3, 5 etc. If you choose an even number there will be an obvious pattern in the colors. Change colors at the end of every row.

Chain 155 + 1 extra at the end (the stitch which the hook is in). You can easily adjust the blanket size by increasing or decreasing the number of starting chain stitches. If you do so, it’s important that you chain a number that is a multiple of 14 plus 2 for the pattern to work.

Row 1:
single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each chain to the end, turn (155 stitches)

Row 2:
chain 2 (does not counts as first double crochet), 4 double crochet in the first stitch. * skip 3 stitches, single crochet in the next 7 stitches, skip 3 stitches **, 7 double crochet in the next stitch *

Repeat from * to * ending the last repeat at **, 4 double crochet in the last stitch, turn

Row 3:
single crochet in every stitch leaving chain 2 from previous row unworked, turn

Row 4:
chain 1, 1 single crochet in the next 4 stitches, * skip the next 3 stitches, 7 double crochet in the next stitch, skip the next 3 stitches **, 1 single crochet in the next 7 stitches *

Repeat from * to * ending the last repeat at **, 1 single crochet in the last 4 stitches, turn

Repeat row 1-4 until desired length. As you go along you will soon see the pattern and will not need to count anymore. End after a first or third row.

Edge:
Slip stitch around the blanket. Turn.
Using the same color as the last round, place 1 single crochet in each stitch around the sides, and 3 single crochet in each corner. Turn.
Using contrasting color, place 1 single crochet in stitch around the sides, and 3 single crochet in each corner.
